In this touching talk, Ash Beckham offers a fresh approach to empathy and openness. It starts with understanding that everyone, at some point in their life, has experienced hardship. The only way out, says Beckham, is to open the door and step out of your closet.

Thursday 2/5: 7:00pm

A detailed portrait of communities using time banking to meet the needs of everyday life, this movie was made using time banking and barter rather than money.  Come see how you can do the same in your life, using our local Roanoke Valley Time Exchange at www.rvte.org!

Friday 2/6: 7:00pm

This compelling new documentary explores the impact of American manufacturing on both ordinary citizens and the national economy. Through the stories of innovative entrepreneurs and businesses who are making things in the USA while successfully competing in the global economy, the film examines both the positive ripple effect that comes from domestic manufacturing jobs and the hurdles we’ll need to overcome to start bringing them back while asking business owners and consumers alike one simple question: what is your part?

Saturday 2/7: 7:00pm

Like many of us, Joy is not content with the high consumption modern lifestyle we live in the United States. So she journeys to three different intentional communities – places where people have chosen to share land and resources in all kinds of creative ways. The result is a fun and engaging crash course in sustainable living, thinking outside of the box, and finding positive solutions in an increasingly challenging world.
